1) do adcoms only look at predicted grades offered by the school in your first ib year as your academic results at school?
2) If yes, then what is the use of the REAL ib score?
3) What range of scores do I have to get to get into Columbia?
4) Do adcoms require ib students to state their ranking at school?
5) What ib schools are top in uk and us?
6) Is GCSE/ MYP or school exams results of any importance?

I'm not sure how your school does it but in my school we would get report cards at the end of each of the two semesters which had grades on the 1-7 scale, we did not have predicted IB scores...so my transcript consisted of the grades from every semester of my IB classes that the teacher hands out based on tests and finals etc.

your real IB scores count as much as AP scores. I took the IB exams after i had already gotten into columbia, but they do give you credit for a 6 or 7 in a higher level class. I got 6 college credits per IBH class i got a 6 or 7 in...didnt actually matter in the long run for me, but it could help you place out of things or fullfil a science requirement or something.

The lowest gradei had ever gotten on my report card was a 6- (my school added -s and +s to the number grades, with a 7- being converted to a 4.0 using the american college grading system)....i would say if you are getting 6s and 7s you should be fine.

My school didnt rank, and you will not be the one filling in that section, your guidance counselor will be the one to write in your rank. My school didn't rank, but they would send schools a pamphelet of the grade distributions for every single course.

I have no idea....very few schools in the US do IB, AP is alot more popular here.

not sure, i would guess that columbia wouldnt even recieve those scores, unless they ask for them, which i doubt they do....you might want to email an admissions person with that question.

oh, and, as far as i know, i am probably one of very few if not the only person who has done IB on this board, so dont get too frustrated if noone else answers your IB related questions.
