Help!!!!!!!! Ib Questions~~~~~~~

1) do adcoms only look at predicted grades offered by the school in your first ib year AS THE ONLY ACADEMIC ASPECT ?

2) If yes, then what is the use of the REAL ib score?

3) How many IB points do I need get into STANFORD?

4) Do adcoms require ib students to state their ranking/postion at school?

5) What ib schools are top in uk and us?

6) Is GCSE/MYP/IGCSE of any importance?

1) No, I'd assume they'd want previous scores as well.

2) If they're WAY lower than your predicted scores, they'll probably want you to explain it. Otherwise, they're just a formality.

3) It depends on your other attributes - admissions is holistic, not purely numbers-based. I applied with a 42 and was deferred, I know others who've gotten in with 40s.

4) No more than anyone else. If your school ranks, they would want your rank.

5) Don't know. I'm not even sure statistics are kept on that. The school I attend is one of the top in Canada (and the world) though - aside from having very high average scores, we have also introduced a couple of IB pilot courses (PhysChem, World Cultures, etc.).

6) Probably.
