HELP! i'm lost

Hey,

Can anyone tell me what colleges i can apply to and get in (matches, safeties, anything)? My dads been putting on the impression that i'm not good enough for ANY college..sigh..owell..i'm mainly looking at private universities and good state schools..my dad's like anti community colleges, even tho the TAG program sounds enticing.

I'm a junior at Poway High School, a highly ranked public school in CA. I have a 3.06 GPA, and my practice/mock tests tell me i can get a 1650-1800 on the SAT and a 27-29 on the ACT. I moved in 2005 from Pakistan and that is a key reason for my low GPA and has hindered me from taking alot of tough courses.

Thanx
P.S i know my application is crap esp the GPA, i dont need the critisism.

you should probably stick this in the chances forums... :)

There are 3000+ colleges in the US. What are your interests (Major etc.) ? What Tier schools do you have in mind ?

I'd aim for 3rd tier liberal arts colleges, because international competition is so fierce.

majors: International economics, Digital Arts, Graphics Editing, international affairs....ISH

for the most part i dont care, i'll decide on that once i get into the best college i can get into...personal interests may hinder me from doing so

Read the book "Colleges That Change Lives" by Loren Pope and see if any of those schools interest you.
