Hi! So I applied to UNC as a transfer student, and I just received an email from UNC saying my application is incomplete and check the To-Do list in MyCarolina to see the missing materials. However I have been checking My Carolina since Feb. and under my To-Do list it has been saying No To-Do's since they received my college transcript back in early March. I know I should probably call their office to find out but right now their office is closed so I have to wait till 8am tomorrow morning and I have to study for tests tomorrow and I am just too anxious to concentrate. Has this ever happened to any transfer applicants before? Thanks.

Hi, 大手町さん.
I’ve actually experienced something similar. Let me tell you what happened.

Around mid-March they emailed me notifying that there was something missing and I should check my to-do list on MyCarolina; only by then did I check and notice that they were still waiting for my 9th grade transcript (and uh, I didn’t know that!). I had instantly had it submitted through Common Application (as an Optional Report) and emailed back with a note.

However, it seemed that they didn’t actually see my note and weren’t aware that my transcript was already sent in — so a few days ago my status on MyCarolina changed to “withdrawn” due to the lack of the transcript. I anxiously emailed them, but that wasn’t helpful at all. I then had to call the admission office and explain everything. Surprisingly, the woman over the phone was incredibly friendly, helpful, and effective, from who I received an email one hour afterward saying that everything was settled and they had now received the transcript.

Hence my word of advice: CALL THEM, and they will definitely help you. It’s one thousand times better than emailing them.

hi ノブタさん lolz

I called the admissions office and they told me every single transfer applicant received this email and as long as my To-Do list is empty I should be good. thanks for the advice haha
