Help in choosing which Honors LLC?

So I'm trying to figure out which LLC I should do. I'm stuck between Science, Technology & Human Values and Social Development.

I'm gonna be a Behavioral Neuroscience major. I don't know if I want to continue to have a science community around me outside the classroom, or if I want to have a business theme since I want to minor in that.

My major concern is that I'd be with a lot of business majors and not a lot of others majors.

Any thoughts or am I just over thinking and should branch out? Haha. Thanks!

So I can’t help you pick, because this only started this current academic year. But I will tell you this- it doesn’t matter that much. You will still be with all of the honors kids, so it’s not like you have to go to another building to see them. Plus the only thing it does change is that the second semester required enhancing honors course is divided among these subjects.

It’s new this year, so it may change, but here is how it is supposed to work. If you were living in the Science, Tech and Human Values one, for example, they might have a few professors from biology and health sciences and engineering come it to talk to you about all the different kinds of jobs and research and options you could do with your life. Except they bring it a step farther than the normal intro to college classes because the goal of the course is to show how majors interact and can be combined. So they might show an engineer and a psychology researcher who have worked together to create a tool that helps people with disabilities. I really don’t know and I have a horrible imagination. But that’s the basic idea.

So I’d advise you to pick the LLC not based on the living arrangements (because you will meet PLENTY of honors students outside of your LLC) but based on your interests. If you are a business minor and pick that one, but you actually want to go into a science field, you might get really really bored sitting around while everyone talks about micro-finance developments in Africa.

Haha okay yeah that was what my main concern was - not being interested in the same things as others. But thanks a lot! That was the push I needed to select Science, Tech & Human Values.
