Hi, dont know if I'm posting this in the right section. I just need some advice. I really wanted to take this dual enrollement class (precalc) and a person at my local community college said i could take it at my high school and recieve a college credit.. Now there saying I missed the deadline and I can still take it for a high school credit but not a college credit.. I'm really upset. Should I still try and take the class? Or will it not be worth it? Thanks

With the exception of the institution at which you take the class, most colleges will not grant you college credit for classes taken that are included as part of your high school GPA or transcript. The criteria, generally, for receiving credit is that you’ve taken the class on the college campus, with college instructors, and college students and that it will receive a separate college transcript and not be included in any way with your high school. You should take it for a high school credit and as a rigorous course.
