I took two of my subject tests in November and I plan on taking the Chem test in December. On the Math 2 I got a 630(fml) and on USH I got a 670. All of this just brings me to tears. Do these scores automatically put me out of the running for schools like Stanford and Columbia considering the fact that I am asian and that I got a 2190 on my first SAT?

i don’t think so just make sure your essays and gpa and ec are great, :)

Your SAT score isn’t too bad. Actually good enough to get into colleges like Columbia. I suggest you retake the SAT2. Since you’re an asian, you have to get a better score in math l2. Don’t worry too much about it. All you need to do is work hard on the next time.
Oh, wait. Are you like an international student or just an Asian-Ameican, which probably can help a lot more? Prepare well on your resume. make sure you make a good one.

I’m not an international student and I’m a senior so there is really nothing I can do at this point unless I go to the testing site this Saturday and tell them I want to take the Math 2 also.

As you know, standardized test scores are the only factor admissions folks use to determine who gets accepted, who doesn’t. Just be sure you apply to a number of places, which includes those “just right” and “safeties”. There’s a saying to remember: love your safeties.

You probably won’t get into Stanford. But maybe Columbia with luck.

You don’t need SAT IIs for Stanford. Just retake SAT I
