But, the short of it is–you’re not going find any scholarships to attend a US medical school. They’re just aren’t any.

Also, if you completed your college degree in the Philippines, you are not eligible for admission to any US medical school.

thanks for the reply.how about financial aid?what would be your good advice for me?

Except for 4-5 medical schools (among the most competitive in the US), no US or Canadian medical school offers any kind of financial aid to international students. (That includes loans.)

As condition of matriculation, you will need to demonstrate that either you/your family have enough money in an US escrow account to pay for at least 1 year of medical school + living expenses (~$70,000-$75,000) OR you must provide a letter of guarantee from your home government or a multinational bank with US branches which states they will pay for your medical schooling.

So, the first question is–have you attended or are you now attending a US undergrad university?

If the answer is no, you cannot even apply for any US medical school.

If you are looking for financial aid to attend an US undergrad, then that is an entirely different question.

No.What are the offer for financial aid to attend US undergrad?

Even if you do get a big scholarship and can complete your undergrad degree in the US, it will be almost impossible for you to study medicine here. Very few Med Schools admit international applicants, and as pointed out above, those that do will require that you pay at least one year’s costs in advance. Some will ask for all four years’ costs.

If you want a career in medicine, study it in your home country, and then come to the US for a medical residency or other advanced studies. You can do some research on that here: [ECFMG® | Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates](http://www.ecfmg.org/)

4kidsdad…that won’t help him. this student already has an undergrad degree. He seems to think that if he comes here for another undergrad degree, then he’ll get aid, and then he can go to a US med school. Won’t work.

rhog…

You won’t get FA to attend a US college for undergrad because you already have an undergrad degree. Schools don’t give aid for second undergrad degrees.

You’ll need to go to med school in your own country.

US med schools exist to educate future American doctors. US med schools often get a lot of gov’t monies so they aren’t permitted to accept any/many int’ls.

Why not become a doctor in your own country ?
