Hi guys

can someone help me out here?
I'm wondering about my gpa, i dont know how to calculate it!!!

so let's say i have 90,91,93,88,83,99,96,100
that's 8 marks in total

how do i do my gpa, provided they are all 1 credit courses?

thanks a lot!!!!!!!!!!!!

come on!!! help me plzzzz

Don't be so desperate.

For a standard unweighted GPA using fairly standard letter grades:

A (90 and up) - 4.0
B (80-89) - 3.0
C (70-79) - 2.0
D (60-69) - 1.0
F (59 and below) - 0.0

So, map your scores to the numbers and take the average of those.

Depending on how the college calculates it:

Could be anywhere between 3.3 (using the averaging and 0.1 point method) UW to 3.8 (using just 4.0 A, 3.0 B, etc) UW.

hi orange glove

how is it a 3.3?

isnt 3.3 really low? can you describe this method please?

Take all your scores and average them (comes out to about 92.5). In the method I'm telling you (used in some prep schools I know), a 100 is a 4.0, 99 is 3.9, etc. So, your score would come to about a 3.3 but that's using that particular system. Most likely, yours would be 3.6-8 depending on the method used (plus weighting comes in).

Would you like to chance my thread?

ya sure XDDDDDDDDDDD

btw orange glove

how do we find out what grading system is used by the university?

also how do people get above 4.0 gpa UW? do teacher give you 110/100 or something?@_@

People never get above a 4.0 UW, just W (because additional points added due to honors level and the like). Generally the university will use the 4.0 A, 3.0 B system (some even don't use freshman grades!) but I know private high schools that do the other method. Just depends.

ahh i see!!

so according to the most common method, what would my current gpa be?

thanks

also
orange glove chance me plz XD
