Help! Is there Trig on the SAT?

I'm just finishing up my Sophomore year and heading into my junior year. I'm studying for my SAT all summer and giving in in October. I had a question however, I took Alg II regular this year and I was wondering if there is trig on the SAT. And if there is, will I adequatly be able to learn enough Trig from the SAT Math books and the Princeton Review books? I've got like six. I've chosen not to take a class just because I don't think they would help me any, I prefer to study rather than take direction. Anyways, does anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

It goes through Algebra II. The ACT has elementary trig, but the SAT does not.

Learning the trig rules COULD help you in solving random questions with triangles, but you could easily solve them by other methods, so I think you’re fine.

edit: If you mean the class “Trigonometry,” then no, if you mean basic trig rules (i.e. from geometry and alg II), then yes.

yes, there is some basic trig on the SAT

Alright, that makes me feel better, and if there’s anything that I’m not 100% about, I can just learn it through the books, right?

The only trig you need to know on the SAT is right angle trigonometry which will help with a lot of questions that give you a side and an angle. Technically, you don’t need to know this but for me it is easier to use trig since I don’t know the ratios of certain triangles

^they give you the ratios on the first page of the math sections, i believe

all you need to know really is basic geometry and the pythagorean theorem. you won’t need to use any trigonometric functions.

just read through the princeton review/barrons/bb and you’ll know all the math you’ll need to know.
