a nice day to you.
would you guys(or experts) please help me predict my chance(percentile) of getting in yale?
I started studing in America just since this school year(junior), my GPA is 4.67 now, straight As with 4 APs. my SAT 2 were three 800, and I haven't taken the reasoning test but it will probably be 1900(so low because of my weak english). And I guess I'll get three 5 and a 3 on the AP tests.
I had a temporary job before I came here in china, I was certified national level 2 athlete of badminton in china, and i have three inventional patents.
but I am weak in English especially the vocabulary, and my speaking English is also so weak, and I don't have a work experence in USA so far.
so , would you guys please help me predict my chance to get into the top ivies, so i could choose to apply for these first level college or those second level ones.
thanks!!!

A respectful question. How do you get 3 800 SATs with weak English, given that two of the three tests are English oriented. Math I could see, but verbal and writing?

Sorry. My misunderstanding. I see that the 3 800s were in SAT IIs. Please forget my question and congratulations on your achievements.

i'm sorry, i made some confusions,
the three 800 are SAT2s.
thanks

If you don't mind my asking, what did you get patents for??

one for car ignition system, one for insects killing pills, one for weight lossing food.

let's put it this way, I'm glad I'm a senior and don't have to compete against you for admission. Best of luck, it's a lottery for all of us, but 3 patents is definitely a good hook

i would recommend taking some seriously intense english classes before you graduate high school because you need to a) prove to the admissions committee that you speak english well enough to do well here and b) if you can do that, understand english well enough to do well in lectures - it sounds like you'll be a science or math major, but bc of distributional requirements, you're still gonna need to take 2 humanities, 2 social sciences and 2 writing intensive courses (which can't overlap). Foreign Language classes have some english in them as well. Sciences and Quantitative reasoning requirements (2 classes each) will require less English but sciences still will need it and many QRs also.

so basically, make sure that a) they know you can speak English and b) that you can actually speak English.
