Help!--Junior Course Selection

I'm currently a sophmore in Precal and am really having trouble deciding what math courses to take the next two years...

Basically, I'm debating between taking BC Calc junior year or taking AB Calc as a junior and going on to BC in senior year.

The main thing is that my school doesn't offer any math past BC Calc, and getting courses at a local CC/online won't be an easy task. Also, the calculus teacher recommended me to take AB first to help the junior year workload, but taking AB then BC seems redundant...(I have no idea what to do :-/)

Any helpful advice/comments? If you do recommend BC in junior year, any tips on getting higher level math courses?

Thanks in advance.

I was in that situation last year...except my school does offer classes beyond BC. I would ask around before you decide--ask the teacher of Calc BC if he/she thinks you can handle the course, ask students taking the class now how hard they think it is. Then measure yourself up to these peopleand decide. It really depends on the teacher you get, but I agree that taking both AB and BC is a little redundant. I'd say go for it. If your school offers AP Stat you can take that as an easier math senior year. If not, going to a CC to take advanced calc would look good. Good luck!

My school doesn't offer classes beyond Calc BC either. I took Calc BC as a sophomore, and I think it was one of my easier classes. Calc AB covers the same stuff as Calc BC, just less of it. It'd really suck to have to sit through the exact same thing twice, so I suggest you take Calc BC. For courses beyond that, I took Linear Algebra over the summer. I'm also taking Multivariable Calculus right now. You might also take independent study if your school offers it. Seriously, take the BC, so you won't die of boredom.

One of my friends took Calc AB as a junior, and is now taking second semester Calc BC as a senior.

Thanks again for the help!
