I can't find a place where UCB specifies which they want so I'm planning on taking two of them: French and Math 1 or 2. Is this right or is there something required missing. Also, I'm currently enrolled in Precalc Honors, so should I take Math level 1 or 2?

you can take any SAT II EXCEPT Math 1. You absolutely have to take Math 2 if you choose to take a math subject test for all of the UCs. If you don't want to take Math 2, you can take any other 2 subject tests.

And if you're in pre-calc honors and your finishing the course in june, i think you would be fine to take Math 2 in May provided that you already took trigonometry. If not, I would skip the math subject test and move on to something else rather than try to learn everything from a study guide

well, see, we had a short trig unit in Precalc. The average for our class was around 75 and I had the only perfectr paper so I'd say I have a pretty good grasp on what we learned. I'm pretty sure I would ace Math 1 (haha). I'll look through a book and see if I should risk it or not. So I only need to take 2 subject tests, right?

Actually it is much easier to get an 800 on Math 2 than Math 1. Math 1 has no curve, math 2 has one of the more generous curves for the SAT IIs.

If you want to game the Math 2 exam get a TI-89 and learn the syntax for functions such as "solve". Then you can just set up equations from the test questions and let the 89 solve it for you. No possible arithmetic mistakes if you set the equations up correctly.

"Math 1 has no curve, math 2 has one of the more generous curves for the SAT IIs."

But Math II is also harder, so it's a trade-off. :P

UC's don't take math 1 so you have to take math 2 if you're going to take a math subject test. Also, math 2 contains a higher level of math so it's more impressive to colleges. The curve is very generous. I thought I did horrible the first time I took it but still got over 700.
