Although I'm graduating with 6.5 math credits, math has always been my worst section of the ACT. When I go through the test, I KNOW how to answer all the questions, but im constantly answering the wrong question or bubbling the wrong answer! For example, when it asks for a specific angle, I find another angle's degree. This results in getting about 6 questions wrong on the test when I should be getting perfects or close to perfect. This is really frustrating me as I am a good math student but cant seem to stop myself from making idiot mistakes on the ACT.
Please help me with some strategies to minimize dumb errors!

anyone? 10char

Write down what they want you to solve for. For example, if the angle they want you to find is 2x, write “2x = ?” on your sheet, show all your work, and make sure your answer shows what 2x equals, not x or any other angle.

Sleep well, eat well and spend enough time with friends before taking any test. It helps. Oh, do not forget to tell yourself that you have done all you could in preparation for exam.

just do a whole bunch of math tests. calm down, and these are the critical days for improvement, if you focus, u can improve a lot. I have the same problem; i make about 7 mistakes and 6 of them are ■■■■■■■■.
my advice for you is to clam down, and take more practice tests. Circle the ones that you often make errors on and when you see them in the future think to yourself, I am gonna rape you, you stupid question that i always get wrong, and ace it. It has been helping but in general, just do more practice tests. also, skip the hard ones and time yourself, come back to them in the end. good luck!
