Hello!

My name is Kenny, from Thailand and I am looking forward to take my bachelors in the USA. I want to study in the GEOPHYSICS field, but the problem is, I have been too chill. By the time I have figured out what I wanted to study and where, I have missed most the deadlines of the top ranking geophysics universities! I really don't want to study in the spring semester and I didn't want to wait another year to study in fall.

I picked a few other universities but I don't know much about how their campus life and education quality in terms of natural sciences are, and I would be honored for you guys to provide some more insight on these universities!

BETWEEN
University of Tulsa (I think they are more of a small, warm community?)
University of Houston (don't know much about them)
Colorado School of Mines (I heard the social life on campus isn't much?)
University of Oklahoma (don't know much either)
Louisiana State University (seems okay?)
Texas Tech (not sure about this one)
Pennsylvania State University (interesting one too)

It would be a great help if you guys could tell me a bit more about these universities so I could make the right choice after I apply, and I plan to apply as quickly as possible. I'm looking for a good school with a balance between education and social life (but not too much to sway my grades haha)

(my CGPA is: 3.55, SAT math: 680 reading: 570 writing: 500, IELTS score: 8)

Thanks guys!
