HELP! Late applications!

Okay, so basically everything went wrong! I wanted to submit my applications about
2 hours before the deadline yesterday, but the common app kept crashing and crashing,
and ultimately erased all the answers to the fixed-chose-your-answer questions on the whole common app + supplements (you know, everything that has a box and CEEB number questions etc.) so I had to replace everything really quick. Ultimately I submitted at 11:30, but it kept delaying and delaying, and the payments wouldn't work either. In the end, three of my apps were submitted a couple of minutes after the deadline!

They still allowed me to submit and make a payment (Salliemea was REALLY REALLY slow); the common app says they are submitted, but nothing about downloaded and I haven't received any confirmation emails either (except for the succesfull payments).

Furthermore, because all questions got messes up, my Amherst supplement now says
I will be submitting an art supplement, which I don't plan to do!

AND all my teachers apparently send in my recs too late!

Am I screwed?

Should I e-mail or call all my colleges?

Thank you!

Relax. This isn’t the end of the world.

If the schools use Common App’s Scheduled Delivery Service, all files from the day are downloaded as a group at a predetermined time. If they don’t use the SDS (and you really don’t need to know this, I’m just telling you to give you the big picture), the files submitted won’t be downloaded until a staff member downloads the batch on Monday.

You’ll be fine. Teachers and counselors sometimes submit things late. I don’t think most schools will penalize you for that.

Aah! Thank you so much! I just had a semi-heart attack because I thought everything was ruined! I guess I can finally have some sleep then!

Sorry to bump my old thread again, but I still wanted to know what I should do about the mistakes: When I rechecked my app again today, I noticed quite a lot of the click-boxes have reshuffled, even changing one of my SAT scores!! Should I just email the colleges? Or call them? Or something else?

PS. All my apps have been downloaded and confirmed, luckily! And my teachers finally send off their recs too!
