I am an incoming international freshman. I was wondering if I should book the shuttle online. But on the website I was asked to provide a local phone number. I do not have one now. Could I take the shuttle if I didn't make a reservation in advance?

yup, just walk up and tell them USC and they’ll fit you in for $15

If you aren’t able to get onto the shuttle that way, as a last resort you can take the flyaway LAX shuttle from the airport to union station(main train terminal in downtown LA) for $7.50, then transfer to the red line(subway $1.50) to 7th st metro center, transfer to expo line which runs to usc campus. Total cost is $8.50 but this may not be an option if you have never taken public transit in a new city before and aren’t comfortable with the idea. Taxis from LAX to USC tend to run between $50 to $60

Thanks for reply! If I just walk up, where should I walk up to? I mean a shuttle bus station or some where else?

On the baggage level when you get your bag you just walk outside to the curb and there is an inner curb for cars to pull up to and an outer curb where the shuttles & buses pull up to. The LAX flyaway stops at the outer curb at every terminal at LAX before heading back to union station. [LAX FlyAway Bus](<a href=“LAX Official Site | Welcome to Los Angeles International Airport”>LAX Official Site | Traffic and Ground Transportation - FlyAway Bus) explains it.

“At LAX, passengers board buses on the Lower/Arrivals Level in front of each terminal under the green “FlyAway, Buses and Long Distance Vans” signs. Each bus is marked with its service location.”

You’d get on the one that says Union Station. Then from Union station you’d just take the red line and then expo line to get to campus.

A shared van shuttle from LAX to usc would be quicker though of course if you can figure that out instead.

Dont worry as soon as you walk out d airport after taking ur baggage you will see a sorta counter and there are sign boards as well! You will get to know where to head :)

Have a safe journey!

For your first time coming to USC, I recommend using a shuttle, not Flyaway+Metro, especially if you have a fair amount of luggage. I’m heard they all are equally terrible, but I use Primetime, because they have a student discount (Google “primetime shuttle usc discount”)

If you book a super shuttle online and enter the coupon code UYR59 or any on this page [Super Shuttle Coupon Codes: Get $4 Off w/ August 2012 Coupons, Promo Codes](http://www.retailmenot.com/view/supershuttle.com), you can get a discount, it should come to $13 one way + tip and they will drop you off directly in front of your house.
