HELP lazy but smart student

Hi, I am a lazy but smart student. I have an extremely low gpa of 2.5ish but I know I am smart. I am going to be a senior next year and I have been receiving progressively worse grades since freshman year. In my freshman year, I got mostly A's and B's without any work, but my sophomore year, my brains only got me so far and my lack of diligence in studying or hw got me C's B's and A's. I just finished my junior year with record lows of C's and lower. I took mostly AP classes and because they all required alot of work, I did not do well (c's and even failed with d's.) Also, although I am good at math, I received an F in a college level math course (differential equations) that I took at my community college because I did not attend classes diligently (I finished all my math courses at highschool).

I know I screwed up majorly. I don't quite have a family problem or any sort of excuse for my bad grades except laziness. Now, I realize how destructive my laziness has been and am determined to fix it. I know I can always go to a community college for 2 years and transfer, but I really want to get into a decent university or college. I really hope to get into a private liberal arts school, but I also know most are very selective.

Is there any way to show the colleges that I am a smart student, who WAS lazy but fixed and overcame my laziness? Is there any hope of me getting accepted into any decent college? If I register for some courses at my local community college and is able to receive good grades (I plan on registering for that math class I failed and a english course equivalent of the ap english I took this year that I got a D/C in) and receive all A's in half mediocre/AP classes first semester senior year, will I have a chance of being accepted into any decent colleges?

SAT Score (only took it once):
800 math
660 reading
650 writing

SAT 2 scores
math IIc: 800
chemistry: 780
physics: 780

Things aren’t looking too good for you, man. There’s millions of brilliant people in the world, but only some of them are willing to take advantage of it (not being lazy). Your bad grades are going to hurt a lot, even more so because it was your junior year (bad grade trend). But your SAT scores and rigorous schedule should pull you into at least a school like ASU or something.

Oh lord.

You are lazy, indeed, bur judging from your SAT’s, too intelligent for a community college. Try a state school. Also, get those grades up next year! Do more EC’s!
