I know everyone is probablu sick of these, but with two days left until deposits are due this is very necessary. What do i do?! Both of these schools are very similar, which makes the decision that much harder. What would you do in my shoes?

Lehigh is the better school, though 'Nova has more name recognition on the street...do you want to be in the suburbs ('Nova) or rural (Lehigh)? Do you want Big East basketball, or does that not matter to you? Think about these

I'm not sure that I agree that these schools are that similar. As ckmets13 writes, Villanova's suburban campus has a very different feel than Lehigh and the students are probably more gregarious. Its proximity to Philadelphia is a nice advantage to Villanova if you like having that sort of thing and its overall social life is more varied and vibrant. Lehigh's academic reputation, particularly among the engineering set, is definitely stronger and promotes the entire school to a stronger academic reputation than Villanova. Furthermore, Lehigh’s student body is stronger than what you'll find at Villanova although certain of Villanova's programs are improving and carrying the school's overall academic image upwards. Academically, I don't think it is that tough a choice as Lehigh is more highly regarded, but for the overall package, Villanova might be a more fun environment. It all comes down to what you are looking for.

i have visited both schools in the past month, and both campuses are gorgeous, i seem to remember you're going for engineering? nova's engineering program has nothing on lehigh's.

What do you like better: wrestling or basketball?

Agree with hawkette's post.

They're "overlap" schools; I believe Lehigh's (I'm an alum) had the stronger academic reputation for a long time and still does, but Villanova keeps improving and is becoming more selective.

Lehigh's campus is on a hill, can be segregating because of fraternity culture, and Bethlehem isn't too great but there's a lot happening on campus. Generally heavy workload.

Villanova's campus is flat. Train ride into a major city.

Kids like both schools so odds are you'll be happy at either. Try to picture yourself at each school. Sometimes the choice is 51-49 and you're going to have to go with that 51%, but once you make the decision don't look back. Good luck!
