<p>I was asking a high school counselor the other day about letters of recommendation for the Common App. She told me that once I get them, I should give them to my own counselor so he could send them, and him sending them is better because it is more confidential. I got my letters of recommendation, brought them to him, and he treated me like a total idiot and started yelling at me saying "Why should I send them, I didn't write them!!" Ugh...so my question is, how and by what means is the best way to send letters of recommendation to universities for the common app for early action. thanks</p>
<p>Your teachers should have sent them directly instead of giving them to you, but since they didn’t, make copies and put them into envelopes addressed to the colleges with the correct amount of postage. For the return address, put your high school’s address, not yours. (Your counselor sounds very stressed.)</p>
