(HELP) low GPA, what are my chances??

<p>Applying to University of Illinois - Urbana Champaign (computer engineering), Pennstate University and University of Washington, Purdue University.</p>

<p>Academic:
3.3 GPA</p>

<p>Test Scores:
ACT-32</p>

<p>ECs:
Tennis in high school for 4 years
Volunteer at a local community service (50hrs)
Volunteer at a nursing home (45hrs)</p>

<p>I have a really low GPA so I am really worried :( what are my chances?? </p>

<p>I think you have a good shot for Penn state : these are their admission stats </p>

<p>GPA Penn State University Park: 3.55-3.97</p>

<p>ACT Penn State University Park: 26-30</p>

<p>And Purdue is basically the same </p>

<p>Middle 50% high school GPA range: 3.5-4.0</p>

<p>Middle 50% ACT composite range: 25-30</p>

<p>So your GPA is under the average but your ACT is way above. So it compensates i think.</p>

<p>UIUC engineering is more competitive so i doubt you’ll make it. And U Wash i don’t know.</p>
