Hi everyone, I'm new to the board. I attend Baylor University in Waco, TX and I'm interested in obtaining a MA in Sociology, but not a phD. I'm looking mostly at public universities that offer MA in Sociology, I'm not opposed to top tier schools but I'd prefer mostly public, state schools. Several programs I've looked at include: UT-Austin, UNC, UVA, Temple, & Minnesota. I'm taking the GRE this fall & hope to enroll by the end of my senior year. If you have any school suggestions, that would be great! Thank you.

There is a masters program at georgia southern university

What type of sociology do you want to study? It might be in your best interests to pursue a professional master’s degree in a related field (e.g., education, public health, public policy, social work, etc).

Ditto. Otherwise… why are you going to get yourself in debt with a MA in sociology if not interested in the PhD?
