Help! Making a list of where to apply.

Hi. I’m a junior in high school.

I am trying to make a list of colleges to apply. I is hard for me to make a list of schools because I’m afraid I will miss a school that is perfect for me. College is very important to me and I want to make sure I apply to many good schools so I have choices.

About me:

  • I am currently a hs junior.
  • Gpa: 3.83 unweighted, 4.35 weighted -SAT: working towards the 2000s to 2100s
  • Class rank: do not know, but think I am in the top 10-15% -I am taking very rigorous classes and in the hs program I am in I will receive my Associates degree when I graduate high school
  • varsity swimming (4 years)
  • good extracuriulars

Here are some things that I am looking for in a college:

  • located in the Northeast/New England area
  • I really like cool old gothic architecture
  • I like smaller sized colleges
  • I like a nice community feel
  • I like having a city or town nearby

If you have any suggestions for colleges that meet any of the things I described please reply.

Thanks

Have you taken SAT/ACT? That is also going to drive your list. It doesn’t matter what scores you are working toward. You need to consider what your present scores are now.

Dartmouth, Brown, Wellesley

Start by asking your parents how much they will contribute. Then run net price calculators on colleges of interest.

Lehigh sounds like a nice fit for you. You’ll love the architecture there
