Hi I am mostly at a loss of where I want to go. I want to major in business or finance or econ. - so strength in these programs is important to me. Additionally, I want pretty good college recruiting from notable companies.

Brief Basic Stats:
Hispanic Male
School: Competitive College Prep School
UW GPA: 3.96 (4.0 Scale)
Rank: Top 10% (School doesn't rank)
SAT: -
SAT II: -
ACT: 34
Very Rigorous Course-load (AP and Honors etc.)

ECs: Active in numerous service organizations (President of several, and have a leadership position in several others), sports, etc. - well rounded basically.

Taking these into account, what schools would you recommend? I am considering the following: UPenn (Wharton), Yale, Berkeley, UCLA, Claremont Mckenna, Wash U St. Louis, Boston College, Emory, Michigan, UVA, Notre Dame.

Any others that meet my broad criteria? (any that don't that are on my list?)

I think you have a good chance at your schools…so apply to the ones you like best and include some safety schools.

Since you go to a prep school, can we assume that your parents will pay for wherever you get accepted??? If not, then you need to take that into account and also apply to some financial safety schools.

Yes money will not be an issue. Are there any other schools you (anyone) could suggest that would fit with my list, stats, and my criteria? Or perhaps a school on my list that doesn’t seem to fit my criteria/stats?

Your list looks pretty good, as far as I can tell. I’m really not much of an econ, etc. person, so do not weigh this advice too heavily, but it kind of seems like a school missing from your list is UW-Madison. They have a very highly ranked business school(USWNR says 13th in nation), and you have lots of other large, public U’s.

The public U’s are merely there because they are arguably some of the best Public U’s in the country. Feasibly, I want to attend a private university. Would it be worth it to apply to Duke?

You should definitely consider Dartmouth. Ivy with a liberal arts college feel, great business placement. I second the Middlebury suggestion----the econ. department is supposed to be great. For a safety type place maybe Lehigh. Because you have some large universities in cities on your list it would be helpful to visit large vs. smaller early on so you get an idea which you prefer.
