<p>Having just taken the AP Calculus AB exam last month and assuming that I received a 5, will that have prepared me enough to take Math 1B during first semester as an incoming freshman, or should I just stick with Math 1A?</p>
<p>Take math 1b. I took it after I got a 5 on the AP calculus AB exam and I got an A-. You don't really need the stuff you learned in calc ab that much to do math 1b. Taking math 1a would be a waste of time for you if you didn't struggle in calc ab.</p>
<p>Depends on your major. If you're pre-med and need a year of math, taking Math 1A and 1B may be easier than taking 1B and 53.</p>
