So i want to be placed in Math 31A but i never took AP calc :/
But i did receive a 4 on AP Statistics and i also scored a 720 on the SAT in math. I swore i saw somewhere that would allow me to directly enroll in 31A but I am not quite sure anymore :/. Do i still need to take the math placement exam, or can i automatically begin the quarter in 31A?

You will still need to take the math placement test. The test is all pre-calc to make sure you have the fundamentals to start the first quarter of calculus.

you’ll take it at orientation. Here’s a link for a practice test the UCLA math department posts. [California Mathematics Diagnostic Testing Project](http://mdtp.ucsd.edu/crtest/) Don’t worry, it’s super easy if you have a graphing calculator. I’m the most mathematically challenged person ever and I still managed to pass (I did regular precalc junior year and AP Stats senior year). You only need a 36/60 to enroll in math 31A
