If you want to live and work in Canada after graduation, McGill MIGHT be a better choice. Otherwise, I'd choose Northeastern. If you add a great family and awesome girlfriend into the mix, then I'd go with Northeastern even if you want to live and work in Canada after graduation.

The opportunity to do co-ops is the main reason students go to NEU which typically spreads out your schooling over 5 yrs instead of 4, so if you prefer a more traditional 4-yr college experience, you might prefer McGill.

I would choose to go to McGill. Academics and Campus life at McGill are much better. I am not a big fan of the co op system, especially if you want to major in Political Science.

I just think that a coop is more beneficial to those that are studying a trade.I am not going to belabor this any further, I just do not like coops, I find them distracting.

McGill is significantly better than NEU. McGill is one of the top 30 universities in North America. NEU is solid, but it is not nearly as good. I would not rank NEU among the top 100 universities in North America.

Furthermore, McGill has a huge international reputation, which probably impacts a person interested in Political Sciences.

Finally, the McGill campus is nicer than the NEU campus and even though Boston is a nice city, Montreal is nicer.
