I don’t have any specific advice, but I do think this is a good weekend to find sales, so I’d try ordering some things you think you like before the weekend is over.
I’ve seen bed scarves at the foot of a bed in some magazines but don’t know anyone who uses one. I put a twin blanket folded at the foot of a king bed in our guest room mainly because DiL is often cold, and she and S are our main guests. 0
I only use extra bedding stuff if I have space for a bench at the foot of the bed. Some folks toss their extra pillows on the floor at night but no matter how clean the floor I’d feel compelled to wash the covers before putting back on the bed.
As for Euro shams, I have two that will eventually go on our king bed propped in front of the stacked bed pillows. Three could fit, but it might be a squeeze depending on whether the sham has a flange around it. I have just one euro sham centered on the guest room bed in a pattern that works with the duvet cover and matching shams. There’s just one because it was on sale, deeply discounted as the only one left in stock.
Google “chunky knit bed runner” and the color you hope to get (maybe a medium-dark blue/grey with that duvet?) you’ll see options at all price points from Amazon to custom Etsy. I think the contrasting texture would be nice at the bottom of the bed.
I bought a waffle weave type blanket from Ballard Designs for the end of our king size bed. I find it more aesthetically pleasing when the blanket is long enough to drape over the sides of the bed by some amount.
I bought a twin size blanket. It has trim on three sides, the side without trim is presumably meant to be the top when being used as a blanket. I arrange the blanket so that the longer dimension goes across the bed. The shorter side without the trim falls over the side of the bed away from the door so no one can see it doesn’t have trim.
We have a coordinated second duvet cover that is folded at the foot of the bed. We use it for extra warmth in the winter but keep it folded in the summer.
Love the duvet, @deb922. Really, you can choose almost anything to go with that, either a bright/deep contrast or another soft, peaceful neutral like an ivory or coffee beige, (my choice these days). I’d get something soft and chunky that, when folded down spans the width of the bed (no overhang).
are there european shams for this duvet? love the duvet. one option is to get 2 european shams that are like the duvet and put them in front of your “sleeping” pillows. I am presuming you have white sheets. Fold back the duvet a little less than 1/4 down the bed to add “fluff and depth”. get an oblong accent pillow to put in front of the 2 european shams - i love velvet. I also like buying pillow inserts the next size up to get a fuller look too.
you could also flip the order and put the european pillows behind and sleeping pillows (if in more structured cases) in front and then throw pillow. I think this works better for a queen vs a king.
blanket with texture can be along the foot of the bed and pick up a new color or stay neutral.
This web site has tons of ideas of various ways to style a bed. I now have an urge to restyle our main bed - but per the other thread, that’s where husband spends his nights, not so much me. I already have pillows and spreads I like in the guest room .
I just bought a coverlet for my bedroom from this company along with pillow shams. I’ve purchased bedding here before and really like what they sell. https://annieselke.com/e/bedding
I also like Boll and Branch for sheets and pillowcases and purchased a throw from here for a guest bedroom.
Some of the decisions of course depend on your taste:
Do you want to bring another color into the bed scheme? You could consider one lighter in weight/fabric for the warmer months and something heavier for the colder months.
Do you thing you’ll actually put this item to use or is it purely decorative?
I’m not a matchy matchy person and don’t like coordinating - I prefer some whimsy instead. Regardless, I would think about a color and then look for something that provides a different visual texture than the new covering.
I personally like that layer at the bottom of the bed to be easy to fold and hang over the sides. I also like to fold pack the main covering to expose a little of the sheets.
I guess I don’t actually know what euro shams are! We have a queen bed but a king quilt and therefore king sized shams in from of our bed pillows (2 stacked on each side) and 2 king shams are more than than long enough on the queen bed

I’m debating what color to order to coordinate with the duvet cover I have. I gravitate towards the rust but should I pick a more neutral color such. I think the sage is pretty but that’s the color scheme I have already and am looking for something new.
