Help me choose a school! UVA, UNC, BC

My daughter faced a similar situation two years ago. She was accepted to UNC-CH (honors program - I think it was called Excel and you could choose from a list of perks, one being auto admit to KF), UVA (Echols Scholar program), BC (Honors Program). We loved BC, but D preferred warmer weather. Ultimately, she chose UVA to study Math. While Math is not one of UVA’s strongest departments, they gave her a ton of credit for AP’s (20 credits) and the Echols program allowed her to skip freshman requirements and jump into upper level classes her first year. She could graduate in three years but is staying for 4 to complete a double major in Math and CS. However, if business is your intended major, I would recommend UNC. The automatic admission to KF is a huge benefit. At UVA you’d have to apply for the McIntire school spring of second year and it is extremely competitive. The overall atmospheres at UVA and UNC are very similar - although Chapel Hill is more “southern” (being further south and having a higher in-state population). Both have a ton of school spirit - the students are genuinely happy to be there - and big time sports, if that’s your thing. UNC’s proximity to the Research Triangle is a great benefit as well. As far as employment after graduation - both UNC and UVA have strong networks, especially along the east coast from NY to Atlanta.
