Help me choose a topic!

Alright I’m brainstorming ideas for my essay. I wrote a sports essay but decided to make that my 150 word EC answer. Which seems like the more interesting/unique topic?

When I went to a very rural/poor part of china for a week and tutored kids in english with chinese college students. I would talk about my interactions and conversations with these kids and how their passion for learning has made me value knowledge. Before then, I had never visited outside beijing and going there showed me how different some parts of the world are and what little some people have.

my internship at the information technology dept of Weill Cornell Medical College. I would talk about how I was able get a behind-the-scenes look at an aspect of NY-presbyterian hospital (or any hospital for that matter) that patients don’t see when they simply go to the doctor. The floor I work on is directly responsible for helping doctors make quick medical decisions by providing information and patient databases.

I’ll probably get a recommendation from the CIO at cornell medical college so it’ll complement choice 2 if i write about it.

I may just write out both and compare them, or use one as a main one and the other as a supp. Suggestions?

In my opinion, both 1) and 2) sound like interesting topics..if you choose to write about 1), though, make sure you focus on how that visit affected YOU and don't just go way in-depth describing the experience and nothing else.

2) would work also in my opinion, but I don't think you could make it quite as descriptive about yourself than 1)...because, after all, many more kids get to see the inner workings of a hospital than tutor rural kids in China for a week ;)

If you want me to proofread or anything like that don't hesitate to PM.

Either would probably work, but I agree with the comments made in #2. PM me if you want feedback.

alright thanks guys, i think i'll just write both, so I can be set for some supp essays thrown my way. anymore help is appreciated.
