<p>This thread is funny. One of my good friends had the same "problem," and he chose Notre Dame, and that was the right choice for him. If the same options had been given to me, however, I would have picked G'town. YOU need to read about each and decide based on what YOU are interested in. After all, your college decision and happiness should not be based on a poll of CCers or of your friends. </p>

<p>Uhh ND is most definitely NOT run by the Jesuits. It is run by the Congregation of the Holy Cross, an order with quite a different style of Catholic higher education.</p>
<p>Georgetown seems more oriented toward Pol Sci considering the area, and I know their school of foreign service is top notch. But remember that ND does have an extensive Washington DC program and the ND family will always be open doors for you.</p>
<p>You really have to visit both schools, understand the environment you'll be in for 4 years, research the strengths and weaknesses of both programs, and go for there.</p>
<p>For my desires (Great Books and Business), ND turned out to be perfect. To each his own though. Remember, no matter which one you choose there will be success waiting at the other end - it just depends on the path you want to take.</p>
