<p>-My dad lost his high paying job 3 years ago and it's been a struggle ever since that's made me look at things in a different way
-My relationship with my Dad has gone awful since he lost his job, and began drinking heavily
-My Nana had esophageal cancer and was told she wouldn't survive, yet she was operated on her stomach was removed and she's healthy as ever
-I live in a poverty filled city, although I live a comfortable lifestyle, seeing everything has inspired me to go do something in this world</p>

<p>I'm looking at the first prompt on the Common Ap about an experience, USC is my dream school so I'm not sure if that should be taken into consideration. Thank you so much</p>

<p>I would do the last topic since it mostly pertains to you. Your essay is supposed to tell the admission officers about you and when you include other family members, you could easily deviate from the you standpoint.</p>

<p>Probably the last one, and include some things that you have done, if any, to better the lives of those people in need? Did you set up a fundraiser to help them? Volunteer at a day care?</p>
