<p>I'm not sure if I want to do Physics or something in Engineering.. which one has a better department for me, University of San Diego or University of Michigan AA?</p>
<p>GPA is 3.6, great test scores, essays, and probably recs too, and, btw, whichever one I choose will be a safety.. So I guess you should also add which one I would roughly have a better chance of getting in to (I don't live in either MI or CA).</p>

<p>Both have good programs. However, I do not know what your test scores are but be aware of the following for Mich: (a) GPA and test scores needed to get into engineering are higher than those middle 50% ranges that you will find on-line which are provided for the entire university; and (b) out-of-state applicants need higher GPA and test scores than residents. In other words, you may be mistaken that Mich is a safety.</p>
<p>Agreed, Michigan OOS engineering is pretty stats oriented and harder to get into than other programs there. Its the better choice though.</p>
