Umm, did you actually visit any of these schools or did you spend all your time at home writing essays? If not, go look at the three you can narrow it down to, spend some time on the campuses, then you will know where you will fit the best.

Holy crap… Well… I like Brown, Yale and UChicago best, but you seem to have gotten rid of Chicago, so I guess if I were you I’d visit Brown and Yale (if you can), do an overnight, and decide based on atmosphere. Both are great schools, and you’re going to get an awesome education no matter where you go, so choose whichever place you’d rather spend four years of your life.

On a side note, Providence is really cool, and New Haven is… blegh.

lol, wow, congrats! can i ask about your stats/ECs…?

For no real reason, I would say Yale (that would be my choice, at least), especially because you’re already leaning towards it.

And CONGRATULATIONS on the great schools! You are definitely lucky, but I don’t envy your position… this is going to be a hard choice! I hope your luck sticks with you!

i got into brown, and my girlfriend got into yale. from her experience at yale (she was recruited for diving) their parties were smaller that the frats at dartmouth but still consisted of a significant group of people. less beer pong, more cocktails.

i have heard brown has a diverse party scene, you can kind of find whatever youre looking for. they have frat parties, they have dorm parties, they have a lot. Also, i would say hands down brown has better surroundings than yale. both have proximity to boston/new york/DC, but providence>>>>new haven.

On the other hand, the residential college system at yale is very unique and intriguing. i would definitely say its a great attribute, especially for intramural sports.

Also yale footbal>brown, if you care about ivy sports

beignet, actually Brown won the division title (football) this year. In fact, they’ve been Ivy Champions two times in the last four years. But my kids tell me Yale’s tailgate is a step above.

All are good schools, and you should keep in mind Harvard, Yale, and Princeton. Though Columbia University stood out to me.

I would go with Yale - everyone I know who goes there loves it, and they have an absolutely gorgeous campus.

jerzgrlmom- thank you for clearing that up for me! one thing about brown deterring me right now is the lack of sports, so that helps!

beignet, I think Yale is doing pretty well in men’s hockey.
