<p>Hi, </p>
<p>I have about a week to choose where to go to school next year. I'm deciding between UCSB, LMU, and Santa Clara University. (i got accepted to these)</p>
<p>what i want out of college:</p>
<p>-to leave LA
-to be able to get into a good grad school (for mechanical engineering)
-double major: mech engineering and environmental science
-school that will encourage me to break out of my extreme shyness (i have social anxiety disorder). i have extreme trouble with public speaking, presentations, arguing/supporting my beliefs or ideas, talking to authority figures, etc
-to be set up with good job opportunities after graduation so i can work during or before grad school
-i have a twin sister. she's going to lmu. i would like to go to a different school so i can be "my own person"</p>
<p>financial info:</p>
<p>ucsb estimated cost: $30,284
ucsb out-of-pocket cost (estimated cost - scholarships and grants): $17,784
*i was accepted into the honors program</p>
<p>lmu estimated cost: $53,422
lmu out-of-pocket cost (estimated cost - scholarships and grants): $21,322</p>
<p>santa clara estimated cost: $57,742
