So i know that there's been a million threads on this before, but I promise i've actually read them all.

I sent in my deposit to Bowdoin, but I got off the Middlebury waitlist, and I was looking for some opinions. Is it worth it to switch?

I'm definitely interested in majoring in some Science, possibly Chemistry or Biology, but I'm also interested in language, though probably not as a major. Study abroad is important, and I'm also really into sports, though not at the varsity level.

I know people going both places, so thats not really an issue. I also know that Bowdoin's dorms and food are definitely superior!

(Midd was my first choice, but when i decided on Bowdoin I learned to love it, so its a really hard choice now that I'm actually given the option.)

no it isn’t, Bowdoin is an excellent school and you shouldn’t regret the decision!

I think you should go to Middlebury. Bowdoin is for Midd rejects straight up. Although, I will not deny that Bowdoin has some better program than Midd, Midd is just much more well rounded than Bowdoin.

“Bowdoin is for Midd rejects straight up”

Both schools are just as hard to get into. That statement has no fact to it. Middlebury is just as hard to get into as Bowdoin…

It seems that you like Bowdoin a lot better (and it has great food and dorms for sure!), Bowdoin has excellent environmental studies, neuroscience and foreign language departments. There is excellent alumni networking. Physical activities are popular at Bowdoin. Since both schools are just as good as each other, I’d go to Bowdoin since you seem to like it more and I would too
