@MassDaD68 - I’m glad things worked out at Bryant for your son. (and apologies to the OP for going off topic)
I am also glad they worked out!
I decided to switch to the 2 co op program at Drexel as well.
Well I was denied from Brown’s “Business, Entrepreneurship, and Organizations” program which is unsurprising lol.
I was accepted into Cuny Baruch, but I am not a direct admit to Zicklin Business so I’m probably going to pass. They want me to come and take a mathematics assessment test on June 2nd and that’s after I have to commit anyways!
I would agree. Especially as a transfer student if you don’t have a direct admit to the b-school I’d stick with Drexel.
And oh well about Brown – it was worth a shot! As my son said (when he was rejected from a college), it is not a bad thing to get a rejection because at least you know you reached high.
Of course, and throughout this journey I have always tried to be realistic about my expectations. When all was said and done, I had applied to around 20 colleges (Rutgers and Cuny each allow 3 campuses under one fee).
U of Delaware told me they wanted my spring grades before they consider my application (and Villanova is the same as well), but I’m torn about whether I want to bother with them.
(Also Boston College rejected me yesterday)
Don’t leave it hanging. You applied, go through with it.
At this point if you prefer Drexel to Villanova and Delaware then you can just withdraw your application. But if you think you might prefer the other schools there is nothing to lose by sending your spring grades – you already paid the application fee. IMO the cut-off date for considering other options should be when you start to plan your move to Phila. in earnest (ex. renting an apartment, paying for the fall semester etc.).
But do keep in mind that Villanova may be a difficult school to transfer into and graduate on time. I believe they have a lot of the same type of requirements as the Jesuit Schools I mentioned earlier in the thread (ex. philosophy, theology) so if Villanova becomes an options work with a transfer advisor to see exactly what you will need to graduate and how long it will take you to complete the program.
Villanova is preferred by employers and your education will be well respected for years to come. My advice is go to Villanova if offered the opportunity. They will help with FA, if needed.
Villanova is the #1 Business School per Bloomberg and Top 3 Best Valued education from the Economist.
Best Undergraduate Business Schools - Bloomberg

Best Value Universities: The Economist

Bloomberg also discontinued their rankings last year…
Lets not argue about rankings yet again haha.
If I were to choose to go to a different school over Drexel it would only be because it would be a better return on investment. I don’t care for subjective rankings.
I was also rejected from:
NEU
Bentley U
UDel
Only school left is Villanova but I’m not holding out hope.
I’m getting the impression ad-coms don’t care much about upward trends or work experience as an extracurricular. Or maybe my EFC of <$300 was the killer. I dunno, but it’s all a bit disappointing.
Drexel may suit your interests really well, so hoping that works out for you after you have heard all your decisions.
