sorry, I type it wrong. it should be: I may transfer to Upen or U of Chicago.

Hope to get ur advice!!

up

badly need ur opinion..anything about these schools is most welcomed. As an international student, i know little of the schools... so tell me sth. about the reputation, the campus life or others..thank you!

Don't go to any of these schools with the idea of transferring. They all have great reputations. Consider finances: which college will be cheapest to attend? Can you take the heat and humidity of Houston (Rice)? Of the three, Wash U is said to have the happiest students.

I have a son at UVA, it's party hard, study harder! He loves it, and it has a beautiful setting and a great reputation.

If you like sports, UVA went to the final four in soccer, and is nationally-ranked frequently in basketball, lacrosse, soccer and baseball. There are also great intramural sports leagues. My son was the quarterback of his dorm football team, and also has played on floor hockey, inner tube water polo, and basketball teams.

Oh yeah, he also loves his classes too...lol!

Thanks greenblue ! Your advice is surely helpful ! I thought they were just the second-tier schools (compared to U of Chicago, PENN ,DUKE,Dart....) . I will reconsider this idea carefully!

And thanks namtrag! Your son's experience really tell me a lot about UVA! i think I may have a choice between Rice and UVA now LOL

Did not read your original post very well. I believe UVA's commerce school is one of the top in the USA.

O yes, UVA & Duke are definitely peer schools, and arguably two best schools, south of the mason-dixie line. Should your final choice come down to Rice & UVA, I?d recommend UVA since UVA has a better connection with WS than rice, and hence better ibanking opportunities

Thanks nambrag! I know UVA has the second business program in the whole nation, but the threads in the "business major"section shows the reputation of the programs is not equal to the reputation of students in Investment bank, and UVA is just the fourth or even the fifth tier of school the I- bank recuiting at.so I am now totally confused ,and ask for help here~

Thanks Rabban ! Ur reply is a great help! Actually I felt quite confused about the reputation or internship of those schools for i-banking,so it does help me a lot. I guess it should be following :UVA> RICE> WashU ...Is that correct now?
