Help me choose!

Hey guys, I really need some help!!!

Ok, some background. I go to a pretty competitive high school in NYC where everybody is expected to go to any ivy. I plan on majoring in Biomedical Engineering and continuing onto medical school in the future (hopefully!). So far I’ve gotten in to UNC Chapel Hill, Georgia Tech, Northeastern, Boston University, and Bing. I’m still waiting on some ivies (which come out tomorrow), but I’m not expecting anything. So for now, I’m definitely leaning towards UNC due to its rigorous premed and biology department, however I’ve been on the fence for quite a while. I’ve never been there, so I have no idea what the campus is like or what to expect. I also have no idea what kind of reputation UNC has when it comes to medical school, and that will definitely play an important factor later on. So I really need your help! What do you guys think? Any advice/information is greatly appreciated!

UNC is an excellent school for undergrad. UNC’s medical school is ranked in the Top 25 medical schools in the US. You have a lot of wonderful choices. Can you take a visit? GT is also great for engineering, but I think UNC would help you better as you stated for pre-med reasons.

@rvalover7 Thank you so much! I think I’ll go visit over spring break. Do you know anything about the campus? I know some people that have said it’s beautiful and others that have hated it…

I have visited there before to see friends. Personally, I think it is a beautiful campus. The area around it is very nice. Obviously a different feel from NYC, but a good place to go to school. It is about 2 hours from Charlotte and 40 minutes from Raleigh. Great school spirit. Basketball is obviously very big there. I think it would be a wonderful place to go to school. Top-notch lab facilities as well. I assume you plan to do some research while you’re there.

@rvalover7 Thank you so much, you’ve been very reassuring!
