Help me compare these schools

Just from their websites (a small component to deciding on a school), how would you rank these prep schools?

The College Preparatory School
The Head Royce School
The Harvard Westlake School

I would like your opinions. Thanks.

1) Harvard-Westlake. One of the most well-known private schools in California, Great resources, good college matrics, all around great school. Don't know much anecdotal stuff since I don't go there.

After that, I would pick Head Royce, then College Prep just based on the websites. College Prep seems a lot newer and a little less... I don't know, established?

Hmmm...living in LA, am familiar with Harvard-Westlake as a coed secondary school known for its rigorous college-prep curriculum. Also, our beloved GC was recruited away by them about 3 yrs ago.

College Prep is 45 years old.

Harvard Westlake is 105 years old.

How much would "establishment" affect how good the school is? Like which parts of a school would be most developed, etc.? Harvard Westlake started as a military school for boys, how much would that add to it's development?

I'm just saying that Harvard-Westlake has been around longer. It has more time and mone y on its hands to:

-bring in alumni donations
-develop better resources (buildings, programs, etc.)
-attract better teachers
-create connections with good colleges

It's more established. People recognize it, they know it's a good school. The longer something's around, the more it develops. I'm not saying the others don't have the same potential, and maybe they are better for some students, but they can't compete with the former.

I see, College Prep claims that it's among the Harvard Review's 25 academically strongest independent schools in the country. Does anyone else know the other schools on this list?

Harvard Westlake

and?

......

Harvard Westlake and then I'd pretty much tie CPS and Head Royce....just curious though....why 1 school in Southern CA and 2 in Northern? And out of all the college prep schools up here (I'm from the Bay Area), why CPS and Head Royce

I haven't looked at all the schools yet. I'm from SoCal...
