<p>I am facing the same battle...
my dad doesn't see that small, liberal arts schools are more fitting for me.
big schools (ie Texas @ Austin) are not for everyone. </p>
<p>WHat has worked for me is both bringing them to visiting and physically writing your reasons down and calmly discussing...</p>

<p>I think it's a great idea to bring your mom, Volley. If she can see the campus, meet friendly students, etc., she might begin to see how it's a better fit for you (if you decide it is).</p>
