Have you run the net price calculators (NPCs) on the sites of the schools currently on your list? Do those schools look affordable based on the npc cost estimate? Note the NPCs may not be accurate if your parents are divorced, own a business, or have real estate beyond a primary home.
Education majors often attend school in an area and/or state where they will ultimately work.
thanks so much and here’s some additional info
location- i am from new jersey and i am primarily looking at east coast schools but not more south than virginia
size- i am looking mostly into small/medium sized schools but i’m not sure what would be the best fit for me yet so i am looking at bigger schools as well
cost- we would like schools to be affordable but no specific cost in mind
grades- 3.7/4.0 unweighted and hoping for around 1370 on the sat but i haven’t taken it yet.
If you’re in NJ, then you can’t go wrong with TCNJ, unless it doesn’t fit in with your criteria, which is still kind of vague.
Where do you want to work after you finish college? That will determine where you should complete your education degree. Each state has its own licensing requirements, and you need to make certain that you have the right coursework and student teaching experiences.
