So I eliminated all my private universities for financial reasons and as an NY state resident, it seems that SUNY is the best option for me.
I got accepted into the three SUNY's I applied to: Binghamton, Stony Brook and UBuffalo.
I visited all three campuses and liked Bing's campus the best but I just got my acceptance letter today in the mail for buffalo and they're giving 5k/year (20k for all four years).

I plan to do pre-med/bio major at all three schools.
I was leaning more towards bing but im still very very confused.

I posted this in the college admission forum but I should have posted it here lol

Okay, I read your response on the other thread and that made sense to me…I think you’d like the Honors program at UB. It’s quite good. Sorry you visited on a snowy day…did they happen to mention that most of the academic buildings on North campus are connected? So you wouldn’t necessarily see a lot of students walking on the spine in inclement weather! The kids in Ellicott just hop on a bus in the tunnel under the complex and jump off outside the student union. I’m sure even the Governor’s residents appreciate the shuttles on cold, windy days, although they’re pretty close to the spine anyway.

The Ellicott dorm rooms are larger than Governor’s, but most of the honors kids live in Governor’s for the first year or two anyway. I don’t know what the dorms on South are like as I’ve never been in one…the UB students on that forum could tell you more.

The drinking/research stuff is being discussed on the StonyBrook/UB Computer Engineering thread on this forum. I know there’s a lot of research going on at all 3 schools and UB actively promotes undergrad research (search their site for CURCA). The $20K scholarship would cut your total undergrad expense by 1/4, so I do think that’s a
significant advantage given your med school aspirations. There are a number of pre-professional programs at UB and the clubs/advising are quite good and they offer many speakers, test prep, and volunteer opportunities. You can get a sampling by searching for pre-med advising on their website.

One other slight edge for UB would be the location. I know Buffalo isn’t high on everyone’s list but it does offer far more in terms of things to do/see than the Binghamton area. Transportation is usually very easy and plentiful offerings there as well. Good luck with your decision!

Thanks so much for the help! I’m honestly deciding to take stony out of the picture and revisit both schools once again to make a final decision. I thought I’d give it a shot to try and base my decision off other people’s opinions because I’m not sure I’ll be able to visit both schools again due to various personal reasons. And Yes, I’m really interested in the Ubuffalo Honor’s program. Hopefully I’ll find out if I have been accepted or rejected from it very soon.
Anyone wanna vouch for the other two schools D:

s is in a similar position- so far privates are not offering enough money- he may consider pre-med but not sure. He was offered interview for New Paltz 3+4 DO program. Also offered Presidential Scholarship from Oneonta…but decided to decline both since admitted to Stony Brook and Bing.

He did not apply to Buffalo because of the distance from our home- and it did not seem to offer anything more than the SUNYs he chose. I respect your willingness to keep finances in mind, as for our family it is not a small detail. However with that said- be aware that Stony Brook has not released their scholarship offers yet - so you may find yourself taking a second look once you have all the information.

If distance is not an issue for you, Buffalo may be a fine choice! My s is leaning toward Bing- over Stony but still waiting for UDel decision

Congrats!!! Although its a difficult decision, I hope you are proud that all of your HS achievements made it possible for you to have great choices!!

GOOD LUCK! and post your decision when you have made one!
