I have been accepted into six colleges so far: Alabama, Arkansas, LSU, Mizzou, Ole Miss and Tennessee.
Alabama seems to be the best overall school in terms of Academics, Campus, Student Life and Athletics. I have been a Tennessee fan my whole life and that is really the only reason I have them on here. LSU sounds cool to me, but all the news about their money issues has had me worried. The rest I don’t really know what to think. What do y’all think is the best of these colleges in terms of overall value?
You should visit as many of these as possible before you decide. Alabama is great, but it is big & spread out. If you want something more compact & manageable, Mississippi or Arkansas might be good. I’m sure if you visit, some will appeal immediately to you, & some will rub you the wrong way, making your decision easier.

Alabama looked downright small and cozy compared to our two flagship schools (Texas A&M and University of Texas).
Are you instate for any of these? Did you receive merit at any? It’s hard to comment on value when we don’t know how much each will cost you.
^That was my question, too. Are costs similar? What would you have to pay? Would you have to borrow any money?
First weed out any un-affordable schools and then go for the best fit.
