I'm trying to decide between SUNY Geneseo, SUNY Plattsburgh (hometown), SUNY Binghampton, and Clarkson University.

I'll be getting a Biology or Bio chemistry degree and I've been accepted at all of them.

How did your financial aid packages work out? The state schools will certainly be more cost effective unless Clarkson came through with a great package. Biology is one of the STEM majors where you will need to go to grad school and it is difficult to get fully funded tuition and a stipend in this major in grad school. Try to minimize your undergrad debt so that you will have options upon graduation. I know 3 biology majors who graduated last Spring from private schools who have significant loans and minimum wage jobs at local hospitals as they try to bolster their resumes for grad school.

I’d go for Binghamton, but I’m a little biased because I’m there now. I think it has the best value and name recognition. Geneseo is a great school too but it’s more known only regionally. It also has a different feel than Binghamton- it’s more small LAC whereas Binghamton is bigger and more researchy.
