Can you guys please do me a big favor and help me on selection on colleges.
I am currently a senior in high school, and in the process of selecting undergrad. colleges.

I plan to open my own businesses in the future, and would like to major in business management/administration. I am an average student in school. I have a 3.0 GPA, 1180(without writing)1740(total) SAT score.

I know all the colleges below are reaches, but please help me out xD
This is a list of colleges im planning on applying to:
University of Virginia
University of Michigan
University of Texas
Villanova University
Indiana University Bloomington
University of Southern California
Northeastern University
Illinois Urbana-Champaign

hi immalex. Nothing to worry about. As 1980collegegrad says check out the rankings. Visit their campus if you can…
Sure you can make it to all of them!!
Believe in yourself!

Those are all good choices, but they’re all above “average” and getting in might be tough. Northeastern, though it’s probably not quite as good as some of the others, will probably the easiest to get in to. For the others, I hope you have some good leadership roles in high school and can write an amazing essay, but keep in mind that nothing will be guaranteed, and you might still want to have a safety school.

It would have been nice to do this a little earlier, but if you can still get your scores back in time to update your applications with them, I would try to take the SAT again. On these applications, you’ll be trying to prove you’re better than a flat “B” student, and test scores speak for themselves.

A couple quick questions:
What state are you from? I ask because a lot of times universities will give you a slight edge if you’re from a region that doesn’t send many students their way and it will help us give you ideas for good safety schools.
What race are you? This shouldn’t be an issue, but academia assumes everyone is as racist as they are to justify how much weight they place on the race of an applicant. It could be the difference between no chance and practically guaranteed admission.
