I know that Williams, Amherst and HYP are 100% need-blind. Mibblebury is at most times, but I’m almost certain that I’m going to apply there.

Hmmm… I think I might consider doing Maths 2 and Physics but it all gets quite expensive. App Fees for Universities is like R3000, R700 for the SAT (Only one shot then), R500 for the Subject Tests and then on top of that you should probably get study material :/

ugh…
Is there such thing as a need-blind safety for international students? :D

From what I know, there are quite a few, but I can’t remember their names. How are your stats so far?

My stats all pretty much depend on this term. All the olympiads, competitions and SATs are this term and the next. Grade Rank 6/180 one of the best schools in the western cape and right up there nationally as well. 1st in UCT Maths Competition Pairs Division last year, I play Hockey and Table Tennis. But yeah everything depends on the next 6 months and I’d rather not make predictions too soon.

You do Maths Olympiads? Did you go to the Stellenbosch Maths Camp? I might have met you before.

Nah never even heard of it. I haven’t managed to get past the 3rd Round Olympiad to the prize giving before. But yeah my current stats make me
as I only really started caring about everything like this towards the end of my Grade 11 year. I’m sure my final stats will be a lot better its just the degree of the ‘better’ that I’m worried about.

Same here. I should have written my SATs before matric, and I took a break from orchestra in Grade 11, effectively giving up my excellent chance of becoming Head of Orchestra. But I’ve started a few clubs at school, and they seem to be working. Your essay is the most important part though. Good luck with that.
