help me decide please

i'm thinking about law school because i'm interested in the field and i can also see myself working as one.
i'm a sophomore in college. i need to decide now what to major in...either business or political science
by october because the courses start to get major specific for next semester.
so far, i have managed to keep my 4.0 which is amazing because i never thought i'd be the one to have it.
anyways, here are my concerns and positive viewpoints about each major...if you guys could offer some advice based on experience or anything it'd be great!

Business major
pros: the top major at the university i'm attending, they offer great recruitment for later jobs, the profs are top of the line. the grads make on average $60K when graduating. seen as the "safe" major by my parents because thats what they did.

cons: i'm not at all interested in accounting, finance, info, economics, or math---which make up about 2/3 of the entire bachelor's degree. (i'd major in marketing) my gpa would def. go wayyyy down because i'm just not good at mathematical thinking. i cant imagine myself working for a company. actually, i just have no clue what i'd do with the degree itself.

Political Science major:
pros: i love love humanities/social sciences courses and history...all like 1/2 of the classes needed for the major. no math courses except the bare university minimum. i really love government and politics because i see it as the single most important thing that effects my everyday life and others. i'd most likely still graduate honors which is important for law school applications.

cons: there are basically no jobs that the grads can get. no resources. nothing. its law school or i dont know. it seems risky.

blahhhh. i'm pretty stressed out about this decision because i want to be happy while i;m taking classes but i also want to be financially secure and feel like i didnt do the degree for nothing.

please help!

I am sort of in the same situation. I wish to be a lawyer with an undergrad major in either business or history. I, like you, find the prospect of a humanities major to be extremely risky. If, for some reason, I find at the time of graduating college that law is not cut out for me, me and my humanities degree might be seeking employment at McDonalds. I look forward to the future responses.
Sorry, I am of no help. :(

As has been said many times on this board, choose the major that most interests and excites you. If part of that decision for you means majoring in a subject that will give you employment opportunities other than heading down the law school path, than by all means consider that in your decision. For the most part, your undergraduate major will not make a difference in your law school applications. Pick something and do well in that subject (and in all of your other classes) -- everything else will follow. You're investing a lot of time, money and energy in your college education, and it would sure be a shame to waste it studying something you weren't passionate about.

Your going to get into a good law school if you pair your GPA with a good lsat. If you stick with poli. sci. your gpa will be strong, a key ingredient in law school admissions. Meaning your chance of getting into school is highly likely and therefore you don't have to worry about end up in position where you can't get a job.

If you get into bushiness, you gpa will drop but I don't know how much. But your future outlook is good.

Everything has it's trade off. The best advice I can give you is to study for your LSAT. Regardless of your major, if your LSAT score is good (170 or higher) then your fine, regardless of your major. Law school is all numbers so just worry about LSAT and finding the major that brings enjoyment to your life.
