Hi, so I know these threads are annoying, but I am having a really tough time deciding. I have toured all of these schools and I am trying to revisit them as well. I am really undecided about what I want to major in, but I am interested in economics/government/business. I am in the college of arts and sciences at each of these schools. I am a very social guy, and I definitely want to have a nice mix of academics and social life. Here are some of the pros and cons for each school
UVA:
Pros:
-Best social life of the three schools
-Lots of school spirit/big sports teams
-Beautiful campus
-Near the blue ridge mountains (I am fairly outdoorsy)
-Mcintire is really good and the Batten school seems interesting as well
Cons:
-I think I would like joining a frat, but I don’t really want to go to a school where greek life is divisive/exclusive
-Mcintire/Batten are selective
- not very diverse?
Georgetown:
Pros:
-Nice mix of social life/academics
-Hoya pride
-Nice campus and location in DC
-Lots of guest lectures/events happening
Cons:
-seems pretty similar to the environment I am coming from in New England (prep school)
-Facilities aren’t as nice as at the other schools?
WashU:
Pros:
-Best kept/most beautiful campus
-best food and dorms
-lots of versatility between schools
-more welcoming greek life
-would be a new experience to go to school in the midwest
Cons:
-No D1 sports
-seems less social than the other two schools
All of these schools are affordable, so costs aside, which one would you choose and why?
