Help me decide where to go?

I'm a senior in high school and I have a few colleges I've added to my list already but I feel like most of the colleges on my list are reaches as opposed to real "matches". I live in New York state and I plan on going a pre-med route and maybe majoring in either biology of computer science. I'd prefer universities in the New England/Mid-Atlantic area since I don't want to commute too far. I'm feeling pretty discouraged with all the amazing stats that people have on CC :/

Anyway,
GPA= 96.5 weighted and 94.0 unweighted [my school doesn't use the traditional 4.0 scale]
SAT=1980 (710 w, 620 cr, 650 m) <- retaking in oct, getting consistent 2100+ on practice tests
SAT II's= 690 Bio M, 660 Math I, 640 chem {not gonna send this one}
ACT= 29 {also retaking in October}
My Extra curriculars include: Spanish Club, Foreign Honor Language Society, NJHS and NHS hopefully (decisions come out this week!), Red Cross Club, International Culture Club, and I also volunteered at a pediatrician's office over the summer as well as tutored various students. I was also the recipient of the Second Place award in a poetry contest that spanned all of Long Island.
Ethnicity: First generation South Asian

I would like to say that my parents combined salary is about 100,000? But I'm not exactly sure and I'm definitely hoping for financial aid. I'm already considering Suny's like stony brook and Bing but the rest of the school's on my list really seem like reaches. Also, should I retake my SAT II'S?

Thanks for the help :)

Bumpppp D:

Super bump?

With $100K in salary you’ll only be eligible for FA at schools like HYP which are huge reaches. What can your parents afford to pay? Have you asked them?

Did you do the College Board search? That should get you started. Go to their website and answer all the questions on the search. Choose the geographic region you want, and then, at the end, look more closely at the schools that match your answers.

That’s the way my kids got started.

That would be a much more efficient way than asking a bunch of us who don’t know you which schools you might like. There are TONS of schools. And there are going to be some that match your interests and your stats. And some of those are going to be appealing to you and a good fit, emotionally.

Don’t be intimidated by the scores people post here on CC. They and their scores are of no importance to you. Just look for the schools that match what you want in a school and go from there! I guarantee you’ll find some that you really like! :)

^But hurry! Time is a-wastin’!

The 2 Sunys are very good schools and very good options. Some others top possibly check into also are Rutgers, Maryland, Boston University, Northeastern and Syracuse. Best of luck!

Sorry for the late response I was busy outlining -_-
I’m definitely applying to BU and contemplating Syracuse and Northeastern :)
